This is what we prepare for, I hope everyone trapped in their homes can stay warm and survive. In this situation many are stuck in their homes until the ice melts enough for it to be safe to drive. Never assume that you will be able to evacuate your family to a different place. Water, warmth and shelter are the most important things to these people right now. In Las Vegas, power outages can be just as deadly, if not more so, due to the heat that can absolutely kill within hours.
